Born in southern England to Dr. and Mrs. Lt. Col. Patrick Haney of the United States Air Force, I travelled quite a bit with my parents and have continued throughout my adult life to challenge myself with new surroundings.  I remember using my dad's high-8 camcorder to capture the fjords of Norway, the Maelstroms, Sailing the Arctic Circle, the early days of the underground "Chunnell" from England to France, Parisian nightlife and music, and the epic history embedded into the layered rock of the American Southwest.  The changes in culture, people, and surroundings, the visible timelines in the landscape and architecture that framed so many real life characters was an impassible ambush of ideas and the movie camera was, for me,  the most fit to capture them.



My life has been about creating the content of this portfolio.  It is the work that made the final cut of my first act.  As I fade into Act II, this early work will guide my voice and shape my vision as I build and write for feature film audiences, who are equally as passionate about this "medium of ideas."



My goal is to continue to learn and teach about the world around us through film, to leave a body of work behind, and maybe even make a few people laugh along the way.
